MEP launches skills initiative at Stansted

East of England MEP Richard Howitt visited Stansted today (30 April) to launch a new initiative that will help staff reach their full potential by developing skills and knowledge in the workplace.

The Airport Skill's Initiative, a partnership between BAA Stansted, Urban Futures and Unite the Union, will give all airport employees the chance to undergo training in IT, literacy, numeracy and languages, as well as offering specialised training tailored to each worker's profession.

The Stansted Airport Chamber of Commerce (SACC) serves the following purposes:

Promotion of trade in or around Stansted Airport, Essex
Collection of information and statistics which may be of use to their members
The facilitation of Business Networking
To offer access to the many business opportunities as Stansted Airport develops

Is there a One member per profession policy?

Some business groups restrict membership to one member per type of profession this is not the case with the SACC.
