BAA Stansted ‘Excellence in Customer Service’ Award won by Matthew Cook, Head Concierge of the Radisson SAS Hotel London Stansted Airport. Thurdsay, 11th September 2008: BAA London Stansted Airport have awarded Matthew Cook, Head Concierge at the Radisson SAS Hotel London Stansted Airport the ‘Excellence in Customer Service’ Award as part of the BAA London Stansted staff recognition scheme. He was presented with the award by Stewart Wingate, Managing Director of BAA London Stansted. ![]() Matthew Cook and Stewart Wingate Nominated as a Business Partner to BAA London Stansted, Matthew, who resides in Cambridge, had to meet certain criteria in order to win the award, including working with BAA Staff in order to deliver outstanding customer service to passengers and stakeholders. “Matthew is an excellent ambassador for the Radisson SAS and always take the time to talk to guests and even gives them a tour of all the different room types and really makes them feel valued” commented Valda Edmunds, BAA’s Community Relations Manager upon nominating Matthew; “He is always honest and upfront. This is not part of his day job and is the sort of working partnership that should be recognised and rewarded. ”With 16 years experience in the industry, Matthew is one of the top uniformed concierge in the country, gaining membership to the Society of The Golden Keys (Les Clef D) in 2000. Matthew has also won many internal employee awards, including being named Radisson SAS Host of the Month for July 2008. On being presented the award Matthew said, “When I first heard of the nomination I was truly flattered to be put forward as a partner of the airport, and since learning that I have won, I have been absolutely thrilled.” |
