Hilton Hotels Corporation (HHC) has appointed a new general manager at Hilton London Stansted Airport hotel.

Tom McDermott has taken up the top position at the hotel based near the London airport, joining from his most recent post as General Manager at Hilton Dundee.

Tom, aged 38, said: “I’m delighted to be joining the hotel team at Stansted and look forward to taking the property forward as Stansted Airport aims to expand and become an ever more significant hub.”     

Tom previously held senior management positions with Radisson SAS Hotels and Starwood Hotels and Resorts and also Cunard and Seabourn Cruise Line.

John Rogers, regional vice president at Hilton, said: “One of the great benefits of the hotel business is the ability to relocate to different properties in new locations.

“We’re delighted that Tom has chosen to move to Stansted from Dundee and are confident that he’ll make a positive contribution to both the business and the local community.” 

Only ten minutes by shuttle bus from the airport terminal, Hilton London Stansted Airport boasts 239 rooms, 16 meeting rooms and LivingWell Health Club.
